Everyone says “don’t pass inline objects, they re-render”. I measured 28 patterns. The advice is mostly wrong, the real footgun is narrower and sneakier, and in Vapor mode the whole thing just disappears.

There’s a threshold buried in Vue’s template compiler that nobody has touched in years. I measured it. On real feather icons it makes your bundle 4.2% bigger, which is the opposite of what it’s meant to do.

Vapor mode is the shiny new no-virtual-DOM compiler in Vue 3.6. Everyone says “20 to 50% smaller”. Nobody mentions what happens the second your app isn’t 100% Vapor. So I measured it.
